Chocolate chips were replaced by Christmas chips in this classic cookie so they needed a new name. 😉

The 5/22/17 theme for Macro Mondays is Chip, and even though I know there are a gazillion different kinds of chips I could play around with, all I could think of was , yeah! At last I have an excuse to buy a bag of potato chips!... Due to my expanding girth, we try to avoid buying such things, but for Macro Mondays, I'll make any sacrifice to get the picture....

Macro Mondays: Imperfection theme
This is a chipped Rookwood ceramic (architectural) tile. I think it is a beautiful specimen even though it is imperfect. In addition to the chips, there are a few scratches and a bit of dust. You can see the whole tile in the comment below. (It has been rotated 180 degrees)
The tile measures 6" in length--the portion you see in this photo is about 2" of it.

Macro Mondays theme today was Chip(s). A deconstructed Betamax video recorder and this is one of the tiny chips on the mainboard.
A YN560IV fired directly behind the board. Bare, 1/128 and 24mm.
A square crop in LR and jobs a good'un.

Mr. Chips was back eating the suet on the feeders again. I let him take some but have to limit what he eats, he's a little Piggy sometimes. I call this one Mr. Chips because he has a few chips of ear missing. I suspect this is a male, he is a very big Squirrel.

This picture is for the group Macro Mondays and this week the theme is "Chip(s)".
Since Chocolate Chips are the best kind of "Chip(s)" I decided to take a picture of a Chips Ahoy! cookie....and then I ate it!!
For 122 Pictures in 2022 #35 "Golden brown", these are some kettle style potato chips (crisps for some of you) - a local store brand from a large Texas grocery chain. While forbidden on my diet, I have some on occasion anyway...

The (proper)shoot was over, the people from the casino had been extremely helpful, to make things look really real, they brought out this huge tray of chips.
I'd often seen them in films, NEVER the REAL thing!
Here was a fortune, colourful, different, how could I resist photographing that?
I chose to use very little depth of field.
I love the beautiful tools that are our hands..
Thank you, M, (*_*)

This is one of the five Kits and we call it Chip (Chip off of the old block) because he follows and copies it's dad everywhere. They have gotten so big over the past few weeks. My backyard.
Taken for Our Daily Challenge: taste.
Today I needed a pick me up and felt the urge to bake something...good thing todays challenge worked to my advantage. Hmm, now what to bake? Well, I have been on the hunt for a really good chocolate chip muffin recipe. My daughter loves the choc. chip muffins from Tim Hortons (a national coffee and donut franchise here in Canada) and so I figured I can make my own version that would hopefully taste better than Tim's (and probably be much healthier too). Well, the first recipe I tried was a dud! They tasted more like the texture of a tea biscuit and were too dry. I wanted them to taste softer and have a more cake-like texture. So today was the day I attempted recipe # 2 - and here it is. I tasted them and they are pretty good. Daughter comes home from school soon and the verdict will be out shortly after...
Update: The verdict is she says they taste about equal. Well, I will have to keep trying!!! :D
