Two young golden-mantled ground squirrel siblings exploring on top of a large rock in front of our house. About a month or so ago they were born under this same rock.
Macro Monday - Chip
There is a little chip on the rolled edge of one of our garden bird baths.....fortunately the rest is in tact and perfectly serviceable!!

The Macro Monday theme for tomorrow is “chip” and this is one of the possibilities.
Btb, this is a half inch portion- size verification to follow in a bit.
Btb2, I don’t often use the flash but I kept getting grainy pictures so I figured why not!!

I did a grocery shopping this morning and picked up a couple of bags of Salt Free Kettle Chips, my favourite. I paired them with some Tzatziki Dip. This dip has its origins in the Ottoman Empire. It was yummy!
Alternate title: Bad Hair Day. Those are cedar chips in his fur from the cage:)
Have a nice day. Thanks for the views, comments, and faves.

This Royal Doulton miniature figure has unfortunately received a chip on his top hat. Interestingly I had never noticed the freckles on his face until I took this close up.
I used window light and A4 silver card reflectors.
Sláinte in Irish roughly translates as cheers. If you’re saying it right, it’ll sound like “slawn-che”. This is our local fish & chip shop, a couple of miles from home. It was closed for a good while but has recently reopened with a Ukrainian proprietor. We've yet to try sample the food, maybe next week. I misread the date for SSC group, so will find a new image for next week's "Shop fronts - square on" theme.

A glass diamond prism over a glass jar of glass marbles. The inferior dust specs goes with the tip chip on the diamond prism. The prism gives the kaleidoscope affect.
I love this vintage looking sign for the Chip + Malt. It’s so cool! The condition of the brickwork on this building is atrocious, but somehow that adds to the overall downtown (shipwreck) charm, I think. ;)
I’m including a song that has been in my head on repeat. Best listened to loud (or maybe not, if you don’t like it!):

P.S. Thanks for all the love on my previous post. I appreciate it!. 💗x
I was about to shoot potato chips when I came across these coconut chips—thanks to Costco who a few months ago sold packages of them to sprinkle on top of granola for breakfast or just eat as a healthy snack (so they said.) They've sat untouched in the pantry. I scooped up a handful and dumped them into a bowl and you see the result. No crop needed since the chips are somewhere between ½" to 2" long. Window light, and I used a 20mm extension tube on a 50mm lens.
I’m always looking for different takes on Partners at Disneyland every time I close out there. While I couldn’t get Dale into the photo with this angle, I actually think it’s kinda different just seeing Chip as he admires Walt in the distance.

Macro Mondays theme "Styling food on a fork" and I decided to make myself and my son a lunch of Chips, Sausage and Peas.
A few photos later and it all soon disappeared.
