White chocolate chip and macadamia nut cookies is what my son pleaded me to bake with him on Sunday. Being creative, he had built himself a play oven/stove with a huge cardboard box I had brought home from work the other day, which was left over from boxes of clothes I had donated last week. His mind was set to baking and already had all the specific ingredients the packaging had itemized to use, out on top of the kitchen counter. Of course we didn't use his imaginary oven; but the idea of him putting in a night light opening on the side of the box, which was to be attached next to the wall and have it lit inside sure made it feel like a real oven. My JB, is such a cool baker kid. ...we made 4 dozen!

The recipe used is from: Ghirardelli White Chocolate Chip Cookies Macadamia and Mauna Loa Dry Roasted Macadamia Nut for Baking.

Named after Atlanta Braves legend Chipper Jones

My poor Kate has a tiny chip in her faceup & its killing me x_x

So I want to make yet another version of chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes. My dilemma? Australia doesn't seem to sell mini chocolate chips. And you absolutely need mini choc chips if you're making chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes; regular-sized chips are just too big for this particular purpose.

And so I set to the task of making my own mini chocolate chips. It isn't difficult at all. Melt some chocolate. Cool it until it is thick and pipeable. Spoon it into a ziploc bag, snip off a tiny piece from the corner of the bag and pipe away.

Easy.

Todays OurDailyChallenge topic was "chips", my first thought was of the potato variety but then, feeling the need to be challenged I let my mind drift. As usual - I am drawing a low bow.

With the words chips bouncing around in my mind, it didn't take long for a certain corny theme song to be jogged from my memory. Ahhh I can see it now, Poncho and Jon A Baker cruising the Calafornian Coast, sitting proudly on top of their motorcyles laughing together (apparently they could hold a conversation mid whilst cruising a freeway!).

CHiPs was a US TV show from the late 70's and early 80's... I'm not old enough to remember it being aired but have seen the re-runs.

My thought was to find a motorbike policeman but alas... you can never find one when you actually want one, so this moto-dude will have to do. Teamed with the Harley shot in my comments, I think it works well

Chips belongs to a friend and neighbor of my family. I'm so happy when he visits here. He came today when his human worked on a project here. He reminds me tremendously of Woody, my beloved dog who once lived here with me when I was a child and teen.

One perk of the crinkle-cut is texture. "Because of those grooves and cuts, there's more surface area on the fry. So when we fried it, it got crunchier and crispier than most of the fries out there, and it held that crunch for a long time,"

Chip found the cashews I left outside for him. It brings him near the windows so we can watch him. This was taken from inside, through the window.

Chip and I had a session with a bottle of hair gel and this is the result. I'm no hair stylist but I think this is a little better.

This is a chip I opened prior to me realizing I should record what the package looks like before destroying it. I do not know what this chip is, but it looks pretty cool so I've decided to upload it.

There are five repeating structures on the left side and three on the right, but I do not have any documentation to know what they are.
