Fractals
Patterns (real or mathematical) which look similar at different scales, for example the network of airways in the lung which shows similar branching patterns at progressively higher magnifications. Natural fractals are self-similar across a finite range of scales.

The chaos caused by builders leads to some interesting juxtapositions. This oven glove will be of little use in the garden, however nicely hung it is.
This is my chaos photo. I had a lot of fun taking this picture. I work with children that are 3-4 years of age. I had the children dump out some toys and mix them up. I didn't want to get their faces in the photo so I had them put their hands out. I think this is one of my favorite photos that I have took in so far. It definitely explains chaos because children are very chaotic and they can make chaotic messes. The children had a lot of fun with this as well. There is soft lighting in this photo because there are two big windows that are diffused with shades in the room this photo was taken. I love how bright and vibrant all the toys are I think that it really stands out and adds to the chaotic theme. If I could change one thing I would have evenly spaced out their hands so that it was more even, but when working with children it was very difficult.

This is a crazy tree. It's tricky to be able to see the flowers, but they're there, somewhere on that chaos.
A band of little dudes who call themselves Order and Chaos who performed at the dedication of the new Waterfront Park in Hood River, Ore.
These images all started as pictures of some actual object, scene or whatever, but have been played with in Photo Shop in various ways. In some you might recognize the original subject matter, in many they bear little resemblance to what they started as. I love hearing what different people see in these almost as much as I love making them, so fire away--tell me what you see or feel about them!
