Sartigan Railway M420W's 2047 and 2044 pass by CFS 641 and 646 at the new engine servicing building in Scott, Quebec on 2/18/2023.
CFS recently acquired four M420W's from OSR, with two becoming parts units for the rest of the fleet. While the 2044 has been repainted, the 2047 continues to sport its BC Rail paint scheme.
Traffic levels on CFS have exploded in recent years, with LogiBel building a transload in Saint-Lambert-de-Lauzon. In addition to the two grain customers and the lumber transload at Scott, LogiBel has begun taking cars of dimensional steel, rebar, plastic pellets, rubber, DEF fluid, among other commodities.
With the current traffic growth, CFS continues to expand its operation. Work continues to reopen the line to Vallee-Jonction as well as the recently announced work to reopen the line to Thetford Mines. With all this business, the future of CFS continues to look good.

"I've just come from the courts. I'm going through a repossession order, due to rent arrears. I have four weeks to move out. I don't have anywhere to go. Knowing they want to take the house away, the only security I have, is demoralising.
I have depression and chronic fatigue syndrome. The two run parallel. I inherited it from my father. I wasn't diagnosed until I was 25 because they didn't believe that children got depressed. So I had to have a complete nervous breakdown before I got any support. The chronic fatigue is like having a bad flu, everything aches, everything is a lot of effort. Nothing makes sense as my head is all fuzzy and I can't prioritise or think as everything is too much to deal with.
A few months ago, it got really bad and I took some time off. I briefly went back to work and during that time housing benefit stopped paying and I fell behind with the rent. It’s frustrating - I can hold an intelligent conversation, I've got two degrees, but I can't manage my money. I'd happily pay them back, if I was working and had the money. It's difficult holding down a job when it's not apparent how you feel. On the outside I look normal.
There's a real ignorance around mental health problems and the support people need. My own family distanced themselves from me after I told them. My mum basically handed me over to the local council services. They didn't know how to deal with it, with me. I felt very isolated.”

Never seen this before but it may have a BC connection. It has been backwards and forwards to Penticton a few times and if flightaware is correct, direct to the hospital helipad and sometimes even between there and YYF airport. A little googling comes up with a gentleman building a large property development in Cayman Brac, who is German but grew up in BC and went to UBC and seems to own a property in Naramata, so he could be somewhat local. www.castanet.net/news/Penticton/349541/Giant-metal-T-rex-...
