Steam was rarely more impressive than a Garratt. Although the photographer is unknown (just possible it was E. E. Smith) the print I have is captioned. So we know this is July 1951 at Constantine (Roman) in Algeria. This is CFA Garratt BT13. Note there is some air smoothing and that lovely Cossart valve gear. 1951 was the year they were withdrawn. www.dieselpunks.org/profiles/blogs/sunday-streamline-67-a...
I've been slowly constructing individual models of assorted vehicles from the Victorian Emergency Services, including the CFA, MFB, Vic Police and Ambulance Victoria. And designing more structures and vehicles of these and more services, so keep an eye out for further models to come on my flickr.
Please feel free to ask questions of designs, techniques, references, design flaws, improvements and anything else you have to say about my models.
There will continue to be a slow progression through these builds and uploads due to placements, work and additional components of my career pathway, while also my normal family life.
