Rodger's Coaches, Weldon
Weldon, 25 August 2005
New to Park's, Hamilton
The livery worn by Rodgers' front-line tour coaches is completely different from that of the older vehicles. There are several Jonckheere-bodied Volvos in the current fleet but this was the first, purchased in 2005 and previously operated by On A Mission. It was sold only recently.
Not by me. These pics were done by Q-Vision studios in Oshawa. Bharat does some really nice dance pics.
The reflections are NOT photoshopped in. They are done in camera.

The fleet number 1 at Cedar Coaches seems to be cursed as three vehicles with that number have met unfortunate ends in the last 15 years. First was Dennis Falcon WRR 396Y which caught fire (as did its sister XRA 397Y a few years earlier) but the next number 1, Atlantean YJI 1310, escaped unscathed and was sold for further service. Its replacement was Olympian A707 YFS, deroofed under the notorious Elstow Road railway bridge in Kempston during 2003 and succeeded by this Lion. A couple of years after being photographed at the depot, E941 CDS met the same fate as its predecessor! Cedar's Atlantean number 3 and a couple of United Counties VRs have also fallen victim to this bridge and it claimed its latest scalp just a few weeks ago in the shape of a Motts Travel Olympian.
