Hospice had told us, especially after the stress of the midterm results, that mom probably wouldn't see Thanksgiving. But Thanksgiving came and Christmas came and mom was still with us. Then for New Year's she was still with us. My mom was certain to be around to max out her individual contribution to the DNC for one more calendar year. And since she left us on January 3, she was also certain to not have to watch Nancy Pelosi hand her gavel over to John Boehner."

Wheeee, this is fun! I love swimming. I was the 12th out of 600+ women after the swim. Yes, I was a damn good swimmer growing up.
