...form of spyware ..

Much before the spy camera's and the CCTV's , our grandparents and great grandparents (and probably their great grandparents too) relied on looking through the keyhole (and of course other openings too) to keep a watch on the neighbourhood.

#MacroMondays - Mon -Nov 16 2020 - Theme - #Keyhole

The pillar seen through the keyhole is the pillar of the house opposite and is about 40-50 feet away from the phone camera. Along with the house , my photo too rests on this pillar to say the least ;-)

The lock here is a an old twin lock system typically used for main doors.

Photographer under observance and more "looking up" at the Upper West in Berlin's City West.

At a height of 119 meters (390 feet), the Upper West is the fourth-highest building in Berlin. The most prominent tenant is the hotel chain Motel One which occupies 19 of altogether 33 floors and offers 582 rooms. The Upper West's tower consists of two parallel structures, each of the same height but not symmetrical. The white, slightly shiny façade (which can be seen in the reflections) is interspersed with windows throughout.

Happy Sliders Sunday, everyone, and I wish you a great new week ahead!

This is just an example to show just how difficult it must be, for an Dutch Architectural Photographer to get a good image.

There is one really true vertical and one true horizontal line is this image.

Abandoned, derelict and under threat of demolition, London's architectural heritage.

This was a ten second photo opportunity between cars driving off and parking in front of the shop.

I was stood in the middle of the road and was told to move to the kerb by a copper leaning out of his van. As I took the shot I noticed the shop owner staring out at me, I moved on further up the road and back to the middle of the road and heard shouting. I continued with my task and then found that the shop owner had pursued me along the road, he thought I was a council snoop !, as in the 35 years he has been in business he feels they have been nit picking and persecuting him and the result has cost him a lot of hard earned money.

I explained my behaviour and told him how much I appreciate characterful shops such as this, we parted on first name terms and a handshake, . . . along with the promise of a print.
