Arundel Cathedral is faced with Bath stone and is in the French Gothic style. The planned spire was never built over the north porch.

The west façade has striking figures of Christ and his apostles and a statue of Mary with her divine child, together with a large rose window adorned with stained glass.

The Cathedral was founded by Henry 15th Duke of Norfolk, whose old established family own extensive estates around Arundel, and the building was completed by July 1873, to designs of Joseph Hansom (inventor of the Hansom cab).

Berlin Cathedral was constructed between 1894 and 1905 by Julius Raschdorff. He used the style of the Italian High Renaissance with some baroque elements. The Cathedral was damaged during the Second World War. The reconstruction of the Berlin Cathedral started in 1975, but it was long and costly, taking several decades to complete. It was finally finished in 1993.

Santa María de León Cathedral, also called The House of Light or the Pulchra Leonina is situated in the city of León in north-western Spain.

The church has nearly 1,800 square meters of stained glass windows. The great majority of them date from the thirteenth to the fifteenth century: a rarity among medieval gothic churches.

The Cathedral bis one of the three major cathedrals on the Camino de Santiago, the others being the Burgos and Santiago de Compostela cathedrals.

To the right Mols Coffee House. Built by the Cathedral Authorities to house 'Annuellars', or priests. Annuellars attended to the last wishes of benefactors to the Cathedral. They would conduct duties requested by the deceased, visit and comfort relatives and keep a candle lit in remembrance. It was during the Reformation of the 1540's that these practices were banned and the buildings housing the priests were taken over for other purposes. The Royal Coat of Arms over the front of Mol's was put in place in 1596. It was at this time that the ground floor was leased for use as a customs house The building remained in use as a Customs House until 1660. It became a coffee house in 1726

St Stephens Church (left) may have been built by a wealthy patron for the use of his family. The church was first mentioned in the 1086 Domesday book, although the crypt, unearthed in the 19th century is probably of Saxon origin. In 1658, Cromwell decreed that all churches in Exeter be closed apart from four. St Stephen's drew the short straw and was sold to Toby Allen for £250, to be used as a stable.

Four years later, when the monarchy was restored, St Stephen's was in the process of restoration at a cost of £500 when it was destroyed by fire. In 1664, the people of the parish rebuilt the church, financed by city merchant and alderman, George Potter.

The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charleston, which encompasses the entire state of South Carolina.

The west fascade consists of two towers, two galleries, a rose window, and three portals with tympanums carved above each. On the left is the tower of Saint Peter, on the right is the tower of Saint Paul. The towers are 232 feet tall and have four pinnacles which contain 2,700 carved stones each. The finial (last stone of the cathedral) was set on September 29, 1990.

Galway doesn't actually have all that much to look at, but it does have a pretty cool cathedral, if you like that sort of thing.

The Cathedral of Our Lady is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Antwerp, Belgium. It contains a number of significant works by the Baroque painter Peter Paul Rubens, as well as paintings by artists such as Otto van Veen, Jacob de Backer and Marten de Vos. The belfry of the cathedral is included in Belfries of Belgium and France in the list of World Heritage Sites.

Salisbury Cathedral at dusk. Taken on our short break down to Wiltshire. Would of loved to photograph it from a different elevation but due to scaffolding on the other sides settled for this one.

Granada Cathedral, or the Cathedral of the Incarnation, 1561. Unlike most cathedrals in Spain, construction of this cathedral had to await the acquisition of the Nasrid kingdom of Granada from its Muslim rulers in 1492; while its very early plans had Gothic designs, the construction of the church in the main occurred at a time when Spanish Renaissance designs were supplanting the Gothic regnant in Spanish architecture of prior centuries. The cathedral is Gothic in plan and proportion, the details are Renaissance. The groin vaulting is Gothic intersecting arches. The main arches are round with a suggestion of a horseshoe. The five naves are divided by huge pillars of the Corinthian order. Gothic vaults rise on the Renaissance pillars.
