The finest hour has come for Kyiv chestnuts.
Aesculus × carnea, or red horse-chestnut, a medium-sized tree, an artificial hybrid between Aesculus pavilion (red buckeye) and Aesculus hippocastanum (horse-chestnut). Its origin uncertain, probably appearing in Germany before 1820. It is a popular tree in large gardens and parks.
Aesculus × carnea's features are typically intermediate between the parent species, but it inherits the red flower color from Aesculus pavia. Its showy flowers are borne in plumes on branch ends, blooming in spring and producing leathery fruit capsules in fall. It grows up to 40 feet tall and 30 feet wide, with a round head that casts dense shade when mature. Its leaves are dark green, palmately compound, and deciduous, each leaf divided into five large, toothed leaflets.
Testing a camera - it seems to have a light leak.
Since light appears on bottom of frame the leak is likely on top of rear door somewhere due to image being inverted by lens optics.

The 1882 New York Mercantile Exchange building on Broadway in the SoHo historic district of Manhattan. This building also has a cast iron facade on it.You can't really see the metal nuts on it,but the signs of rust and discoloration are evident on the facade.Of the beautiful details you'll see on the structure there are some images of roses on it🌷.The building was designed by HJ Schwartzmann & Co. who also designed the Puck Building, twelve shots down.

A quite ornate and a definitely heavy, heavy cast iron door.
I was capturing some shots of an early evening moon when I noticed an airliner was about to come into the scene. I was excited that the plane was painted in sunset colours too! This is the closest I have got to a plane crossing the moon's face! What I also like about this shot, is that the same sunlight is of course being cast onto the plane and the moon.

Another from my night at Cramond.
Thought the tide would just be dropping at sunset but it wasn't quite ready yet so had to make do with a shot from above but maybe a slightly different take to the normal viewpoint.
Apologies to the couple that I set up next to who were enjoying a moment to themselves.
Two exposures taken with the B&W ten stop and blended together in Photoshop. I have left quite a lot of the cast in here as the B&W can add quite a nice colour when not so much is happenning.
Early morning light and a brooding sky at those enigmatic little fishing boats near Branksome Chine.
*** Back after a long hiatus- Depression makes it impossible to spend the time to upload stuff on Flickr. At the same time, the whole '60 groups only' thing has really stressed me out. :/ ***
After walking all the way back past where we started, (look, to the very left of the frame- we were up there on that hill just now) up MORE stairs - phew - we were standing where I'd previously taken a shot, years ago.
Standing in the same spot, it felt as if no time had past at all. The main difference was, I could take a slightly better shot now.
...And then we walked alllll the way back down, ready to walk much further up again!

Thank you all so much for your absolutely incredible response to my last photograph. It makes me even more excited to share the photos for the exhibition I'm currently involved in. I've since finished all of the photographs and am just waiting for approval to share them all, so stay tuned. Other than that, university + work are dictating my life, as usual but I'm making more of an effort to put time aside for myself and not let things overwhelm me too much.
Meeting + collaborating with new artists over the last month has inspired me to continue to step out of my comfort zone and shoot more regularly. Hope you're all well. Make sure you're following me on all of social media (see below).

The Chuck Wagon has been a West Colfax icon since 1959, when it arrived from New Jersey. Technically, Ken and I are playing loose with time and space again. We have set this piece in 1958, the only year Colorado plates featured a skier. We claim, "Artistic License".
Here, on a hill overlooking Colfax Avenue, the iconic metal diner form has been augmented by a giant cowboy cook. He has been directing folks to the place for almost 60 years now and he hasn't aged a bit. There is another location for Davies Chuck Wagon, in a more traditional style of restaurant architecture, a few miles from here. It also has a large cowboy out front but none of the neon lettering this fellow enjoys.
Naturally, we had lunch there before they closed for the day and left the place perfect for a shoot. I had a really nice rueben sandwich on marbled rye bread. Ken had the patty melt. It was Ken's first visit and only my third. The place was there when my family moved to Denver in 1965 but it took me 48 years before I sat down at the counter.
As the Motels that still line West Colfax have turned into flop houses and the neon signs have been torn down or left broken, the Chuck Wagon is still serving, still thriving.

I didn't get what I wanted, but not bad for me. The RGB light is with the mobile phone, the spot light is with a torch.

...and I couldn't think of a better description... I was supposed to be a batgirl here but I was lazy to search for some bat wings. The setting was supposed to be a cave but then, I said, I don't wanna scare myself neither. Tee-hee... Weird . . . trying to be Halloweeny...
This is an old one, which was processed way before my sloucher-reader photo. I delayed it 'cause I wanted to get on with my icon-embedding. No icon on this one . . . still thinking...
