Todays challenge for the daily shoot was, Pick an everyday subject and get as close as you can to it. Make a photograph and post it!
I dont actually have many everyday items in my office at the moment as I have packed almost everything away in boxes as I am moving to a new building shortly, so I thought the backpack I carry around to and from work and pretty much whenever we go out anywhere on weekends is an everyday item for me, and thhen got in real close for these shots
Well....... I finally got round to editing and posting an image from nearly a week ago last Thursday during, what has to be said, a cracking morning on Todd Crag with Tony Higginson and Danny Astro Kenealy. More to edit so there is more to come.
As always, all my images are available to purchase through my website so why not pop along there and take a look.

This has been more of a spur of the moment stop to walk and hike this area in Death Valley National Park. I'd read about the polished rocks and layers, but as I walked further in, I found myself drawn to the peaks on this north side of Tucki Mountain. Then a raven flew overhead...no, soared above me. I was barely able to capture the image I did. What I liked about it was the canyon and walls around me with the mountains peaks off in the distance. Above all this was a raven just taking it all in...
Well, this is the canvas (only longer-24x48)...hopefully it will come next week sometime!
Florabella's textures...french canvas, and sugar and spice, and dreaminess overlay :)
Explored #73!! Thanks everyone!!
The original was taken with my HTC 10 and manipulated with software on my phone. As is often the case, I noticed the image was full of noise and other artefacts after viewing it on a larger screen. Still I liked the concept, so I tried to salvage the image by adding oil and canvas filters in PS.
Original size can only be viewed through the "view all sizes" button to the right. Left-clicking shows image at about 50 percent.
Acrylics on cotton duck Canvas 30x16" stretched on 38mm pine stretchers! One of my first times stretching my own canvas, excellent fun! :-)
'' Where is My Artist?''
Where is my Artist?
Maybe she's busy,
I think she's weary,
Maybe she's bored,
and maybe she dont like me anymore,
I feel so plain when she's not around,
coz she puts color on my life.
Her brush take away my tears when I cry, and caress my face until I smile.
I miss my artist every moment of the day,
Please comeback and paint my love in anyway..
