“We can allow ourselves to pass through the darkest valley without losing our light. One candle can lit millions of other candles, which are willing to receive the light.”
Micro (macro) photographs of lit candles, showcasing the amazing art that's produced when a candle's wick burns and the candle's wax melts into incredible shapes.
It took me awhile to be able to expose properly for both the burning wick and the flame itself, and it's challenging to get a sharp focus as I shoot these handheld.

I hope you enjoy.
This is one of the photos that I took for the macro monday group, but didn't use it. I still wanted to share it though, so I added it to flickr. I really enjoy doing Macro Photography.
"The Boston Tea Party!" What happened? The candles burning, the tea was hot, the cup filled. Only the milk was some kind of annoyed: Maybe it/she has turned... Enjoy and have FUN!
Fire has been around since man has been on the earth, It has warmed our skin and provided light for our footsteps. The flame is an efficient servant but when it moves outside of our control it becomes a ruthless task master!
may be small, but the memories it represents burn brightly within our hearts.. Hope you are all well. Been a rough time of late can't promise I'm back but I'll do my best to post a few. The Advent Candle always gets lit in our home, but this year means a little more than usual as it would have been Mum's Birthday. Keep on smiling you wonderful folk out there. x
F is for Fire - 2022 Alphabet Challenge
It has been very hot in the UK and unfortunately there have been many fires in the countryside. Although fortunately for me, I wasn't near any of them.
However, I didn't think it was a good idea to go outside and light a match, so just lit a candle indoors. This is more F for Flame than Fire, but I reckon it is close enough :)
