Finally, another HBO series I can get totally hooked into. And not just 'cuz of the sex. (I mean, REALLY... does anyone want to see Jane Alexander naked, giving head, really?)
It's extremely well written and acted (primarily a female writing staff), and really groundbreaking in looking at dysfunctional relationships through the prism of unflinching portrayal of sex.
Last night (we're a couple of weeks behind, watching it On Demand) we finally got to see Tim DeKay's weenie, just a little. I still think Carnivร le was the best thing that's ever been done on TV (DeKay was in it), so I was eager to see what he'd do in this show.
Turns out he and his wife, despite clearly loving each other, have a sex life that has completely fallen apart, and by ignoring the problem, dancing around it, avoiding it, etc., have now gone for over a year without having sex. While there are plenty of dissimilarities, there are enough parallels between this story and my recent history that it's both fascinating to watch... and a little strange to be watching it with Tom... then, true to form, never discussing how it relates to our own past.

This Week in Bristol Indiana-9-3-2017 Spotlight on Cummins Park: A sign listing the many features directs visitors to the Park, located behind the Elkhart Co. Historical Museum. Although the popular Splash Pad closes after Labor Day, many other year-round family fun features include: the new wooden Train, a swing set, the basketball court and tennis court. A number of picnic tables are located about the park, including one in the woods overlooking the river. A new red Swing by the Splash Pad is a donor memorial to Wilma Berkey as well as a blue bench nearby. The Little Library with books to take or trade is a recent addition. Near the covered Pavilion (no need to rent) is a large grill. Two groups of exercise machines are located along the paved walking/bike path that circles through the woods by the River. The trash cans have new hoods, and the new regular and handicap portable restrooms were donated by Satellite Industries. The historic Cathcart Cemetery is located at the edge of the Park. A tree and a magnolia bush are donor memorials to Mary Ann Landisโs family. Come see for yourself this family-friendly Park! It is named for Cloyce Cummins.

A 30th & Downing train turns off Stout St and onto 14th St as it makes the loop around downtown. This is the only route that takes this track so it has to dodge, um . . . certain hazards. Denver's downtown transit loop actually operates against traffic as can be seen with the car pulling away from the curb.
I stopped by Sweet Traditions in the Junction today. I picked up my favourite Twizzlers and Sweet Tarts. Plus some cherry pull n peel Twizzlers and this one lonesome Dr Pepper.
I used to love Dr Pepper. But it seems I don't love it as much anymore. I am just glad I didn't buy a dozen.
