RRCG Transport... Mid-section

This bus is usually seen at EDSA flying the route of Ayala-SM Fairview, Quiapo-Taytay/Junction/ Cainta all having Japayuki bus body and engine... However, RRCG ventured also in the Provincial route. This particular bus is flying the route of Lawton/LRT Buendia to Batangas City Pier either via Calabarzon or the ordinary route of via Sto. Tomas Batangas. Noticeably this particular fleet of busses are distinguishable from the ones fying on other route because of its unique cudly livery.

This bus is a Hino RF, with 1-6 gears +1 on reverse. This bus is also equipped with a Denso external AC/blower. It has a seating of 3x2 per row. and has around 11 rows excluding the backseat(long seat). Oh before I forget this bus is a EURO 2 compliant. The one on the picture is the next bus to depart from the bus I just boarded and abandonded before it departs. ehehehe

I took this shot beside my friend before he went to his destination (Batangas City) after a day of watching MMFF films. Just in luck to have my digital camera in hand so I can take a shot at this bus.

Villa Escudero , the museum

A stay in Villa Escudero is something that you will remember for the rest of you're life. The full name is Villa Escudero plantations and resort. It is located on the border of Tiaong and San Pablo city.

History:

It was founded in the 1880s by Don Placido Escudero and his wife Dona Claudia Marasigan. Originally planted to sugarcane, the crop was converted to coconut by their son Don Arsenio Escudero in the early 1900s. A pioneering agro-industrialist, he built the country's first working hydroelectric plant to supply his coconut factory and Villa Escudero.

Tourism

There's a restaurant near a waterfall, a swimming pool, many flowers and plants, a view at the shores of a jungle river (my personal favorite) , a beautiful museum , a gorgeous cultural performance and great food and accommodations.

So if you ever visit the Philippines, be sure to give this magnificent place a visit, you will not be sorry, and then you can say with us the famous frase: We choose Philippines!

The beautiful museum inside Villa Escudero , only I couldn't take indoor pictures.

Enjoy this last and major part of our travels to the Philippines in 2016-2017.

Sampaloc Lake , Philippines , Happy Fence Friday

HFF

Sampaloc Lake is an inactive vulcanic lake on Luzon in the Philippines and it's the largest of the seven lakes in San Pablo. In the background you see the mountain called St. Cristobal.

Considered one of the prime tourist spots in the city, Sampaloc Lake is dotted with floating restaurants along its shoreline that serve delectable Filipino and Chinese cuisines. It abounds with tilapia, bangus, carp and several species of shrimps. It is presently lined with fish pens and small cottages built on bamboo stilts.

The legend about Sampaloc Lake tells us that it's name comes of a giant tamarind (sampalok) tree in the garden of a selfish stingy old woman who drove away a fairy disguised as an old man asking for some fruit as a cure for his ailing grandson. Instead of yielding to his appeal for help, the stingy old woman had him driven away by her ferocious dogs. The old man was badly hurt.

Hardly an hour after the old man left, there was a thundering noise followed by the cracking of the earth. The next instant the entire orchard sank into a colossal pit which was eventually filled with water. Henceforth, the villagers called it Lake Sampaloc.

Sampaloc Lake, Pilipinas , Masaya Bakod Biyernes

Jungle river

As a child I had a very good friend , twenty tree books and hundreds of comics.

My friend and I played Tarzan , no, we were Tarzan , the twenty tree books were , ofcourse , the Tarzan series by mr. Edgar Rice Burroughs and the comics, well, you can guess what they mostly were.

Climbing in the trees, which were for us trees in the jungle ,swinging from branch to branch like monkeys and dreaming from a life in the tropical rainforests of Africa was our childhood.

When we were seven or eight years old, we even thought that we could stowaway on a fright ship to Sierra Leone and then we would be so close to Tarzan's jungle. The rest of the trip we would walk, no problem, only a thousand kilometers for us youngsters.

Things ofcourse turned out differently. I lost track of my childhood friend , but I'm sure the both of us did not loose track of the Tarzan stories. For me, there are only some differences, the jungles of Central Africa were changed to those of South-East Asia , my Jane is a Filipina but my dream to be in the jungle came true.
