In Feb 2015 this photo was awarded with the front page of Optical Excellence group.

On the first day of revenue service for Amtrak's HHP-C (HHP-8s modified as cab cars), 9751 leads train 182 across the Raritan River. An ill-timed case of lag almost caused the train to exit the frame before the shutter fired! For now, these will be used between New York and Washington, DC. I imagine that territory will grow as they would be a good fit for Keystone Service trains.

During the Ed Burkhardt/Chris Burger days North Freedom's R-1 was able to travel anywhere on the system where a group would pay $15,000 for it to show up. The group would provide the cars as did a private car owner (Bill Butterworth?) in Sheffield Iowa.

I was on the road on business but took the family along since the kids were out of school. We rode in the Dome car for a trip that was a lot of fun

This photo was taken as a Christmas card I sent out in 1986. The wreath, which I borrowed for the shot, was from our front door

I remember my wife asking why the wreath smelled of exhaust fumes
