C++ photos on Flickr

If you like photographing both wildlife and airshows (like I do!), you can do both at the same time at Banner Marsh State Fish Wildlife Area near Canton, IL. While photographing some swans in the marsh, I took a few seconds to hoist the lens straight up to catch this Lockheed C-130 Hercules of the 182d Airlift Wing of the Air National Guard out of Peoria, IL.

I was operating C&NW suburban train No. 633, a Des Plaines local, and was stopped at Clybourn when I took this photo of the Kenosha Club Run, train No. 333, behind Crandall Cab No. 505, gliding through the platform and over Armitage Avenue, in March 1983. No. 333 operated non-stop between Chicago and Highland Park.
