Macro Mondays theme '' Buttons and Bows''
This is a small wreath made of buttons and a small bow. The bow is about 1.5” in width. I cropped on only a portion of the wreath and mainly on the bow.

My first contribution to #MacroMondays and I couldn't be more excited to participate. HMM!!
This week's theme is #ButtonsandBows. This photo is a spare button from a shirt long ago donated to charity.
I tend to keep all the spare buttons from my clothes in a sewing box, and this challenge made me realize I have quite a few. This little red button is very plain in regular light but full of texture with the help of some off camera lighting.

Some beautiful buttons and bows out there today. These were borrowed from my little girls wordrobe.
Macro Mondays theme for Monday December 4th is Buttons and Bows.
For me I went for buttons, with no bows in possession.

I had couple of photo shoots with individual and also piles of buttons before I remembered I had these jeans!
The larger button measures 1.5 cm, the smaller just on 1 cm.

Taken from my well worn Levi Denim Jacket for this weeks Macro Monday theme of "Buttons and Bows" HMM
For this weeks Macro Mondays theme of "Buttons and Bows" I had been thinking about photographing my suit buttons but in the last few days I ended up swaying more to bows and bought some gift bows from a few local shops and placed them in a small gift box.
After trying a few backgrounds I decided I quite liked "Pink" and ended up going with that.
Framing was just under 3 inches on long edge and a minor crop from the left means I am well in the legal area for the group.

I remember as a child going through my granny's button jar was always a treat, full of rare treasures to my eyes -- sparkly ones, wooden ones, leather, enamel... It's been several years since I've gone into my own button jar. It wasn't as good as granny's but I was surprised at what was there!

This is an inverted colour treatment of a photo of my button box (the tin measures 4x3x2 inches). I like that it makes the buttons appear to be dancing as they tumble out of the tin (or maybe I've just got an overactive imagination!). I've been collecting odd buttons for close to half a century - you just never know when you're going to need a spare! [original version in comments below]
