I had set up my daughters Air Cadet button from her wedge against my other daughter's hair bow. This is a contrast between my two daughters for one is very into being an air cadet, and while my youngest has joined, she is still more into doing her hair and makeup!

Buttons on a ground-fault-circuit-interrupter (GFCI) outlet, one kind of a class of devices also known as residual current devices.
The test button should be pressed monthly to confirm the unit works properly, but I wouldn't be surprised if regular testing is rarely performed, if ever.

Trying out some ideas ahead of the Macro Mondays theme of 'Buttons and Bows' for the coming week. I like the textures and shallow DoF here, but will keep searching for more button-based inspiration!

Today was one of those days... in addition to everything else I’m having computer problems so this image was downloaded to my phone, emailed to my ipad and then processed. I believe it may not be too clear or a very large file so no guarantees on quality but I just couldn’t miss a week 😉
By the way this little charm is about 3/4 inch long and just over 1/4 inch wide. It’s suspended from a curved needle.

As usual, I made several attempts for Macro Mondays and have been dithering between two offerings all week. Finally chose the other.
A purple button that usually resides in a box of other odd buttons that I've collected over the years.

I experimented to create the custom-shaped bokeh seen in the background. This was so much fun! I don’t know how this works or why the shapes came out as they did (I had cut a star shape out of a black circle of card stock that I put in front of my macro lens), but I was thrilled to see these blurred shapes form in the background.
