Painted Button-quail Turnix varia 17 – 23 cm
Painted Button-quail move on the spot in a circle as they feed, digging up the leaf litter and sometimes dirt as they go. This circular movement results in 'platelets' which are saucer sized and shaped bare patches of ground. It is a good way to find where they have been foraging. We thought it better not to disturb them just to get images of the platelets.

I'm such a pro, I fetch hot buttons out of my kiln with my ikea salad tongs, into paper bags and lift the shelves out with my John lewis reduced tea towel...one day I will get some kevlar (I'm not sure if that's how you spell it?) gloves.
The "select" button is white for the white MacBook and black for the black MacBook. Nice visual detail.
Scrap dichroic 1.5cm square with a clear top. Offset squares did not make a nice circle. Probably a bit too big.

So a few of us went through the "button loop" inside the back of the cave. This involved crawling about on our stomachs, trying not to lose the button's off our clothing, squeezing through very tight spaces and jumping down from a hole in the side of the cave back into a space where you could (finally) stand up straight again. We did it!
