This button is made using cotton muslin on a cream cotton fabric. Then adding button, beads, flower beads & embroidery. Drizzle stitch & french knots.
Nerds at play. The type of dance I do involves couples dancing in pairs, weaving down a dance hall in long lines. It's kind of like you see in the Jane Austen movies, with musicians and a caller who calls out a set of predictable figures for you to dance. We tried dancing this dance last night that had some weird progressions and some funky end effects. The boys painstakingly recreated the dance with Splenda packets and breath mints. After about an hour of moving the Splenda packets through the steps, they finally figured out what they wanted to figure out. How very satisfying!

I made this ring with a rhinestone studded button and sterling silver wire. The button measures 3/4 of an inch wide and looks kind of like a flower. The metal on the button is a base metal, but the wire used to make the ring is sterling silver.

This is the first button fairy I ever made, last year. I made twins so I could keep one and send the other to my swap partner. Good thing I did, cuz I never got one in return. :O( I love her creepiness.
I'm now hosting a scary button fairy swap on ye old swap-bot to make up for my tragic empty fairy nest.

One of my favorite shirts, the button fell off. I don't have much patience, so I have not got to wear it since. I decided to fix it today and tried to use a needle and thread for the first time today. I don't think it looks too bad myself.
