Embroidered button stitched with metallic-like thread, Perle 8, wool and in the middle a sequin and a bead.
Vintage buttons plus a thrifted cashmere sweater and plenty of time on an airplane = a button collar.
made with premo, using the polyform cabochon mold and a metal shank embedded in the back. Sanded through 1000 grit and varnished with varathane.
Series of hairpins made of old buttons. Black button is from my mother's coat, probably 50 years old. That's how I pack my stuff. Paper also recycled, how else :)

Silver-grey worsted weight yarn, 6.5 mm hook, all except button band worked double-crochet through the back loop. Button band worked single crochet through both loops. Originally planned for this piece to be a shrug but the Vanna's Choice (Lion Brand) yarn was too thick to get the look I wanted. After staring at the rectangle of fabric for almost a month, I finally got an idea to turn it into a shawl/capelet. I LOVE buttons, so I just simply added the buttonband and buttons. Voila!, a crocheted shawl with the lacy look of knitted lace but with only a fraction of the time and concentration knitting would require (at least for me anyway)!
button brooches by McAnaraks, made from scraps of yarn zigzagged onto thick black felt, finished off with my own handmade buttons

Here is a set of six greenish-white buttons that I made out of a white stoneware clay body. In the final firing, they were fired to about cone 6. I used white glaze and copper oxide to create the greenish-white hues on these buttons. Each button is approximately 1.25 inches in circumference.

In the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew, my attention was brought to this unique jade vine flower in one of the large glasshouses.
It reminded me very much of the happy moon images we see portrayed in children books or cartoons - don’t you think so…? 4iphonewallpapers.com/iphone-4-wallpapers/main/2010_09/ha...
After taking the picture, I was curious about the plant so I did some background reading. I discovered that the jade vine is a relative of the pea family and is commonly pollinated by bats, probably giving it’s usual flower shape ideal for them to hang down and feed on the nectar. Sadly, the jade vine has a very delicate nature and is considered an endangered species due to extensive deforestation. So, if you ever get the chance I highly recommend checking out this amazing plant and flower :)
