Arttu, the oldest cat, likes to volunteer as the butler. He checks everything in the dinner table, saying bitter comments of the vegetarian menu. It doesn't help they get minced meat on their plates for xmas.
He wanted us to have fish!
Many years ago when we still ate fish Arttu climbed to the xmas table, sat on one of the chairs and took one slice of the raw marinated pike, and dropped it on the plate before him.
We almost died laughing at his good table manners. He was very hurt when the fish bite was taken to the kitchen and he had to eat it from the cats' bowl.
The butler wanted to eat at the table, too.

London, Butler's Wharf is at Shad Thames on the south bank of the River Thames, just east of London's Tower Bridge. it was a shipping wharf and warehouse complex, accommodating goods unloaded from ships using the port of London, was completed in 1873. Photo 1950s.
They day after Butler came in 2nd to Duke, their baseball team lost big to Indiana State. Beautiful evening though!
