Butler Wash Ruins
Comb Ridge
Utah
September 2022
Butler Wash Ruin is a cliff dwelling that was built and occupied by the Ancestral Puebloans, sometimes known as Anasazi, in about 1200 AD. Parts of the site has been stabilized and reconstructed, but most of it remains as it was found in the 1800s. There are habitation, storage and ceremonial structures, including four kivas. This ruin is located in a side canyon of Butler Wash, on the east side of Comb Ridge. (BLM)
Petroglyph created by Native Americans near "Wolfman" panel in Butler Wash. Bears Ears National Monument. Near Bluff, San Juan Co., Utan.
I didn't realise when I visited Seahouses earlier today, 20th June 2018, with a Roadmark Travel coach that an earlier fleet member was also present. Butler Brothers. Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Dennis Javelin Berkhof Axial V10 BUT had been new to the West Sussex operator as V978 FPF.
Vermont has no maximum age for school buses, so refugees from other states often end up here. Such is the case of Butler's Bus Service 187, a 2002 Blue Bird Micro Bird previously owned by a childcare center in Virginia.

Austin Glamour and Fine Art Photography Model Nicolle gets wet playing in a fountain while wearing a white dress. A little seethough and sexy but still completely tasteful. Shot on location at the Liz Carpenter Fountain. The Fountain is located in Butler Park in Austin Texas.
originally this quilt was going to be a "turning twenty" quilt. but it's impossible to pick just 20 amy butler prints, they are all so lovely. plus, i knew i wanted it for my king size bed. (mind you, this is only my second quilt! i must have been insane when i decided to tackle this project!) so i added an extra row or two... and ta da! my quilt is finished & just as beautiful as i imagined. every time i look at it i smile! it's so bright & cheery how could you go wrong?
It seems to me that Giftbaby04 and a ton of others are into this type of anime, and i needed to update my style! hope u like!

A BLM trail to the site winds its way across slickrock and washes to reach an overlook of the cliff dwelling. Round trip hiking distance is 1 mile and takes approximately a half hour. The difficulty is moderate. An interpretive sign is located at the overlook. Ample parking and a restroom is provided. There is no water at this site, and desert temperatures can be extremely hot and dry. Plan ahead and be prepared. Bring appropriate clothing and lots of water when visiting this site.

Un nemico dei gerani
Cacyreus marshalli
It is a hot day in July, 2015. We are at Butler, Indiana waiting for the arrival of NKP 765. My job today is be the engineer pilot for the classic Berkshire and some 28 trailing cars from Butler to Toledo.
Like most ferry moves, the train is running behind schedule. This is due to a high level of revenue earning trains on the railroad. Deadhead moves, whether it be a steam locomotive or Office Car equipment, have no priority. Our train will follow the last eastbound out of Fort Wayne, leaving me with some idle time.
Butler is a great place to watch trains. Back in the day, The Wabash crossed the New York Central here. Although the owners of the tracks has changed over the years, train frequency here is very active.
Norfolk Southern now controls both lines, but they are operated by different divisions. The old NYC is part of the Dearborn Division, while the crossing Wabash is part of the Lake Division. Traffic on the Dearborn side is heavy and diverse. But the Lake side offers the ability for fans to see trains of Canadian Pacific. If you have never been to Butler, put it on your list.
After photographing trains on both divisions, a NS welder's truck pulls up. After some introductions, the welders inform us that they have some work to do on a frog. With most traffic already passed, the Toledo West dispatcher grants them 30 minutes of time.
I am always excited to see how other departments on the railroad perform their work. Watching these welders work was an eye opener. Once they had their track authority, then they had unload and set up all the equipment. With that done, now it was time to put on protective clothing and safety gear. Only then it was time to go work. And on a very hot day!
The railroad is not just trains going back and forth on the mainline. So many people across various departments due their part to make the railroad operate. I respect and appreciate all of them, but today this welder is at the top of the list. Kudos to the Track Department and their talented crews!
Today we went to Uppark and I was only able to photograph 4 chairs in the servants quarters. Photography in the grand rooms, is not allowed :(

Went to visit Mrs. Butler and her son's collection of old cars tonight in Red Deer. Well worth the wet shoes.
I think this is probably one of the 1953 Hudson Jet models. The hoodie and the ornamenals are, according to Sadayo, are simpler versions that were available only when the vehicle was first produced. Thanks Sadayo.
