The City of Carlin applied for a CDBG grant in January 2010 to secure funding for a new medical center. Partnering with Nevada Health Centers this dream has become a reality for the community. This new medical center will drastically improve the level of health services in the greater Carlin area.

Nicole McGee, is Co-Founder, Cleveland Colectivo and Artistic Director, Upcycle Parts Shop and Collective Upcycle, a pop-up boutique.

 

Nicole is an artist and entrepreneur involved in community revitalization for regional impact. Nicole sells her artwork directly to local neighborhoods in showcase pop-up boutiques. One store, the Upcycle Parts Shop, specializes in the creative re-use of business waste.

This facility opened in 1999 in a small modular building. There is only room for one medical provider, the x-ray room doubles as a storage area, the room designated for trauma is small, and the building is only partially accessible to the handicapped. There are no other medical treatment centers with 15 miles of Carlin
