other people's cubicle art - the local George W. Bush shrine. I gotta give this woman credit, she takes a LOT of crap for it from other people.
Friday night's special guest at the Slipper Room burlesque revue turns out to be George W. Bush. When he is introduced, the room falls uncomfortably silent. We're pretty sure he'll turn out to be Tigger, this year's Exotic World winner for best male burlesque artist and a glorious notorious dancer about town - and indeed, Tigger it is. But still. There's more muttering than applause at first.
Bush turns out to be surprisingly buff for a gent who just turned 60. And who would have guessed he's the type to sport a rakish nipple ring? Heh. Happy birthday, George.
This was the first pumpkin I ever carved. I had it at the polls in my precinct and everyone loved it...even the Democrats. When the sun went down around 5:00pm, the Republicans got all of the attention and the Democrats were out of business. Even the poll workers came out to see it because the voters were talking about it while inside the voting place. By the way, I discovered that you don't have to go all the way through the pumpkin in order for the light to shine through. If I had, the flag would have fallen apart.

The Wedding Bush, a small shrub that produces masses of delicately scented flowers from September to mid November. The only one of Australia’s fifteen native Ricinocarpus species found in Victoria, the Wedding Bush has narrow leaves 40mm long and grows up to three metres tall with a spread of two metres. The plant produces many more male flowers than female, offering a superb extended floral display. The flowers have 4-6 pure white petals, which are rosy pink-tipped. Male flowers have a rich yellow centre of many stamens while females have a pale green ‘ball’ in the centre (the ovary).
