At Berkeley’s very busy northside entry point, where the bus stops.
As I explain elsewhere, the authorities are very slow to install benches where needed around the city of Berkeley, especially at busy bus stops!!! A civic-minded citizen has taken it upon himself to build and install benches--as his time allows-- at various needful points. Here's one at a very busy spot. I was grateful for it today, after walking 1+ miles across campus to a hair-cutter. It was VERY comfortable !!! ✅

This incredible bus stop is perhaps the most extreme example of the ornamental bus stops which were built across Soviet Central Asia in the Brezhnev era. This one lies just north of the town of Karakol in eastern Kyrgyzstan.

Een combinatie van sneeuw, nevel en rijp aan de bomen zorgt voor een heel bijzondere sfeer.
Deze bushalte staat aan het begin (eind) van het mooie dorpje Hornhuizen en met helder weer heb je hier uitzicht op de buitendijk waar land en wad gescheiden worden.
Ik stond hier om 10.47 (weet ik vanwege de exifgegevens) en begon aan mijn reis terug naar Den Haag. 's Avonds om 19.00 uur was ik thuis, met dank aan de NS en later nog de HTM
