Conceptual Contrast - the natural wood of the bus seat and the design on the glass of the bus shelter against the commercial world of advertising
Swords, Main street. It's Friday evening.
I'm on that bench, beside the bus stop. My camera is sitting at my right, pointing towards me and ready to shoot at my command. I pretend I'm looking at the people standing at the opposite side of the street, but it's a deception. Like a predator, I'm waiting for the perfect moment. Suddenly, my prey arrives. Her silhouette breaks the light created by the anonymous advertisement behind her. Calmly I stand up, fire the timer and move away from the view. A few seconds later, I have my shot. It's a wrap.

At the busstop, seeing the Singapore exchange group off. Hosts and guests got caught in an emotional hysteria of farewells - not unusual after exchanges like these. Despite all the modern technology to keep in touch, the prospect of possibly never meeting each other face-to-face again is devastating, after all the fun shared together.

Dedicated to everyone that:
posed for me,
smiled at me,
tapped my back,
hugged me,
kissed me,
opened space in the crowd
shared the sweat
took care of my stuff for ten minutes
liked my pictures and told me
gave me a hand when I needed one
shared their thoughts
my Love,
Raul
