Al een aantal jaren overheersen de Ambassadors de busdiensten in 't Gooi. Niet zo gek dus dat het niet meer lang zal duren voordat Citea's het zullen overnemen en er weer een concessie haar groene kleuren verliest. Op 28 oktober scheen de zon flink en zien we CXX 5822 de geel-oranje bomenrij passeren naar Hilversum.

148 WJ65 HMC is seen at Plymouth Royal Parade after operating a 5A service from Elburton

Southall Memories - a series of photographs from the Southall / Greenford area that I grew up in, back in the 1970s/80s.

After the demise of the RTs from Southall in 1978, a welcome fleet of Routemasters arrived and operated Route 105 until 1982. I managed to capture Leyland engined RM1377 (377 CLT) on film on the point of its withdrawal from service - Ian's Bus Stop has it withdrawn in September 1982 but this photo is in my log for 2/11/1982! - ghost bus!

RM1377 (377 CLT) is seen here at the southbound bus stop in South Road, Southall. I was taking a quick photo opportunity during the crew change, whilst on my way to Heathrow for a bit of plane spotting action! Note that the bus is showing AR (Tottenham) allocation which seems to have evaded Ian's Bus Stop (see below):

Interestingly, according to Ian Armstrong's site (link below), the 105 had gone crew Metro on 4/9/1982, but I have this RM photo in my log for 02/11/1982, so perhaps there were a few RM stragglers hanging on - I can't remember now 30+ years later!
