for 7DoS: When I was looking for some new cleaning cloths, I saw this bundle of colours on the shelf in the supermarket and bought them. So far, I have taken a few photos but haven't done any cleaning with them ;)
for a bit of cloudy day exploration, a little off trail in Red Rock Canyon.

I bought this about a month ago but haven't had a chance to use it. Now that the weather is better I should be able to soon.
Hm, I went to the site to add the link and I wish this one was available when I was browsing:

Unusual activity of lateral meristems results in the fluting or bifurcation of vascular bundles in Aristolochia.
Vascular (fascicular) cambium produce typical vascular bundles with primary xylem of each bundle oriented towards the center of the stem, primary phloem to the outside and fascicular cambium in between.
However, the growing vascular bundles fail to fuse into continuous rings due to unusual activity of the inter vascular cambium. Heavy growth produces large bands of parenchyma cells to the inside and outside of the medullary rays. Rapid expansion of the medullary rays, which extend from pith to cortex, push the vascular bundles further apart, resulting in the characteristic fluting or bifurcation of vascular bundles seen in older stems.
Internal pressures exerted by annual growth of deeper tissues ultimately rupture and tear the cortex, and dermal tissues. The epidermis and cortex in this young stem already show signs of rupture and repair with parenchymal cells.

A cygnet taking it's first swim. At two days old this bundle of fluff followed the male black swan down from the nest to take its first swim in the sun, here it had become confident enough to move a short distance away from dad to check out the watching crowd.
A woman is bundled up in a hat, scarf, coat, and gloves to brace herself from the cold. It was cold today...especially when compared to the 85 degrees we had in Chicago on two days ago. We're not worried, though, because we know that summer is on its way.
My Mckenzie walking on a sheet of ice that use to be our street. She got another snow day today. I wish I did! Happy Tuesday! :*)
All I had to wear was my thin jean jacket. So Kurt lent me his Raiders hat (one of two that he owns) and his black fleece. He then told me not to rob anyone!

A young H’mong woman and her child trekking through the muddy rice terraces of Sa Pa, Vietnam. While we Westerners were slipping and sliding down the mud terraces in expensive hiking boots, the H’mong women carrying babies and baskets twice their size on their backs walked nimbly and secure through the rice terraces in simple rubber sandals.
