The You Will Rise Project and Columbus College of Art and Design invite you to a powerful exhibition about bullying. CCAD student mentors worked one-on-one with high school students from Arts & College Preparatory Academy, inspiring them to create raw, uncensored works about their experiences with bullying. The resulting collection, including collaborative installation pieces and individual creations, will be presented in a multi-media exhibition at CCAD that is open to the public. County Commissioner Marilyn Brown will be a featured speaker at the reception. All are welcome and there is no cost to attend.

This Eagle Juvenile was being completely dominated by this tiny crow. I guess the crow figures that it will never be on this Eagles dinner table one day.

Ft Sean Viele and Anibal Ortiz.
Anibal asked me if I wanted to make an illustration of bullying. I had a few ideas in mind but I ended up setting up my wireless trigger with my Speedlite 430EXII. We turned off the lights in the break room and set the power to about 1/32-1/64. We placed the flash in various places and tested it on Anibal. He held the flash above his head and the light came out pretty good. So then we asked Sean to help us. So Anibal placed his hand on Sean's face to convey bully's as a whole, and not just one specific person. Anibal placed the flash above with his other head.
