Another beautiful Southern Nevada sunset...

This is simply a light bulb on top of an iPad. It is an HDR, 3 -image combination processed in Aurora HDR Software. A little sharpening was added in Post Processing using Topaz Sharpening.

This picture is for the group Happy Caturday and this week the theme is "Food".

Elijah loves this kitty toy which is supposed to look like a light bulb (when it's sitting upright). I put dry cat food in it instead of treats. I usually fill it up every other day. I think he likes to have a midnight snack without going all the way into the kitchen. :)

A theme of "Bulb" and I decided to photograph the filament of a light bulb going up in flames after the glass had been broken and the switch was turned on.

This would cause the filament to burn out when exposed to oxygen and would briefly burst into flames and emit a bit of smoke.

This was captured with the camera set to continuous shooting mode and is a frame towards the end of the sequence. i liked this one as the filament was visible and still glowing.

I also used a flashgun to help illuminate the glass and smoke and was impressed it kept up with the camera at 1/32 of it's power.

Since I wasn't bold-faced enough to take pictures of all the thin and beautiful families around me, I took lots of pictures of the light bulbs.

Decorative bulbs in Mexican restaurant at Rimba.

Does light bulb look bright only it lights up? No, sometimes, unlighted bulbs look bright and colourful and look better.

I had two friends at the office. One put on lots of makeup, but it didn't make her any better while the other didn't put any but was so pretty.

Small bulb on felt. I especially like the texture of the felt.

Park Avenue that is, as this area of Arches National Park is called. An iconic view that many get to see here on their way entering the park. It is a beautiful little canyon tucked in between the rock formations on both sides. I posted this one to show that it was a bit too forced an image with the bulb capture, as the clouds here were moving slow, and not towards the camera, so their effect is not as great. I would have loved to have had the clouds rolling in from the south direction at the camera, making the "v" in the formations there even more dramatic with clouds streaming in the opposite direction ... like many of the streaming clouds I was able to capture over top of the Grand Tetons.

Alas, you may see this view again with some other streaming clouds ... something I will have to keep an eye out for and just capture them and then apply some photoshop magic to ultimately achieve the image I had in mind here ... that will be a lot easier then moving there and waiting for the right clouds and direction to show up ;))

Ces petites ampoules reliées entre elles cachent bien leur jeu. Avec de simples piles, on peut tourner d'une guirlande toute bleue au rouge, voire même aux couleurs multicolores.

The second "pot of dirt" (gift) now has some tulips blooming. Bulbs are producing tulips, tiny white flowers, and what might be a hyacinth. Morgan County, Alabama 2020.

One of the comments i recieved from HandsOff suggests this lightbulb is telling us a story, combined with the previous picture of it mentioned above. It was not intended, but i actually quite like the idea. Props to you!

"This tells a story. I don't think I would have understood without seeing the tree in the lightbulb. I like it a lot!".

once again, one of you guys has lit a light bulb in my head.

a few days ago i merged a plug and a tulip, and one of my flickr fellows commented about "turning a tulip bulb into a light bulb"...

well, this picture is dedicated to Drachenlady77, whose words inspired me.

i'm so grateful for all the amazing people i've met here on flickr: you guys are a constant source of inspiration and a push to improve as a photographer.

thanks a lot everybody with all my heart.

One old-school, Earth-unfriendly Christmas light and a mirror.

The second container of dirt I received in my Christmas gift got to go outside today. I tried to get a photo of the tiny white flowers in a previous shot but with more of the leaves and structure of the flowers and leaves. Hopefully, someone will be able to provide identification of the white blooms. Dwarf Paperwhites?
