Very unique build arrived in the Mr Landcruiser yard so we thought best show this one off. A BJ42 chassis and drive train mixed with a FJ45 cab, interior and panels. This ground up build has a turbo 3b, power steer and 5 speed box has been set up to wheel and tour with a an ALPHA tent and 270 XT Awning from The Bush Company. The 12V power management is looked after by a full REDARC system tucked away behind the front seats. A very neat example of what these awesome trucks can be! It is so exciting when we get a real work horse 40 Series in the MrLandcruiser yard. This truck started life as an FJ45 with a 2H motor, but has had a 12HT transplanted with a front mounted intercooler and twin Donaldson air boxes to fee that hungry turbo. The interior of the truck is totally custom by the owner to suit the long distance outback touring that this truck does day in day out. The big air con unit on the roof may look a bit out of place but it does the job of keeping the cab icy cold even in those scorching outback locations. The aftermarket gauges on the dash keep you up to date with all you need to know to ensure that the rig is running smoothly. There are two fuel tanks linked up to the one fuel gauge with a switchover switch to show either tank. This cruiser epitomises what these awesome trucks were really designed for, hard work day in day out without missing a beat!
