Gaudi's experiments with innovative, fluid forms in the late 1800s were ahead of their time. His work influenced the early Surrealists. After 1960, the aesthetics which Gaudi and the Surrealists had pioneered became more popular. Several re-editions of their designs were made at this time, including this armchair.

Furthering my negative carbon footprint (I'm sure), Jean and I have hired someone to build us a deck! He's begun the arduous task of digging the holes for posts. Um, there are a lot of rocks in the back yard. I feel bad for the guy.

 

Anyway, I love opening my garage door and getting a whiff of this cedar. It smells so yummy.
