South side of the Midland Theater building at 13th and Main Streets, downtown Kansas City, Missouri.

I have seen many places in my life, gorgeous, wonderful, beautiful so on and so forth... very few have literally and figuratively made my jaw drop in amazement, this was one of them! The entire time I had to remember to close my wide open mouth, literally, pick up my jaw from the floor and then try to take a pic or two... fully realizing that even the best pics don't do this place justice! The interplay of man made objects and architecture, use of space and division with that of nature is just so subtle, sophisticated, clever and artful that it is just stunning. It made me realize what kind of stunning architecture, interior design and landscaping is the product of 5000+ years of practice in civilization! I have a new found respect for Chinese civilization. First was the movie "Curse of the Yellow Flower" which was an eye opener, now this was in 3D, in real life! Just amazing!

Factoid: China is the only country and Chinese Civilization is the only one that can claim to have a CONTINUOUS (unbroken) 5000 years of WRITTEN history!
