The Construction Yard at NCA (Nehru College of Architecture) is an extensive open yard where students are taught various construction techniques. The theoretical content learnt as part of the subject “Building Materials and Construction” forms the crux underpinning the hands-on exploration of these methods and techniques. The first year students practice diverse brick bonding methods and their work serves as a demonstration and display in the construction yard.

Some of you might remember that when they were ready to set the dynamite off we did not leave the area we simply moved to the other side of the building. I wonder what OSHA would think of that today

Utility and tunnel work are underway at the Integrated Sciences Complex. Storm, sewer and drainage piping as well as electrical and IT conduit are being installed. Concrete continues to be poured for the elevator shafts and tunnel leading to the Service and Supply Building. A total of 8,500 cy of concrete will be placed during the construction of the Integrated Sciences Complex.
