An Av-Matoran known to have interacted with Tren Krom and been driven mad. For the remainder of his life he resided in the realm of Karzahni, tinkering away at a set of Toa Canisters.
This creation was built largely to accommodate the custom Kanohi built for me last Christmas by Vorred.
I photographed the builders and staff for a contracting company here in Ottawa. I think what's different about these is you rarely see the faces of who will actually be working on your home or business. L3 doesn't sub-contract any of it's work, so an in-house team means a bit of stability and I think a more personable approach. We shot these on a job-site so the dirt is real ;)
Strobist info: Elinchrom Ranger Quadra through a Westcott Apollo Orb on-axis and angled towwards subject. Large silver scrim-jim below for fill. A Ranger Quadra through an 18cm gridded reflector for the background (2 lights). Triggered with skyports.
This is a shot that I did for a builder's portfolio. I'm very pleased with how it turned out.
It's about 10-12 total layers. Sky and grass replacements. Several flash pops STU to bring up the lights a little. I tried to accentuate what was more than just lighting it all up.
The Empire Builder rolls through the Minnesota Commercial yard area in Saint Paul down six and a half hours from hot weather speed restrictions and track maintenance west of Williston. So, it's an afternoon visit to the Twin Cities in stead of early morning.
With the last car just clearing the Rum River, the eastbound Empire Builder passes the Northstar commuter rail station at Anoka enroute to St Paul Union Depot.
Shooting from Oregon is Amtrak's Portland portion of the Empire Builder to the former passing Towal, Washington.
Amtrak in the Columbia River Gorge can be quite annoying, with it running against the light in both directions and often holding up BNSF trains in prime light

#7, the westbound Empire Builder, departs Chicago Union Station beginning the 2,000+ mile journey to Spokane, Wahington where it will split into two sections for Portland and Seattle.
Iron Builder model
Got the idea at Brickfair NJ from the great ball contraption. This only works half the time but I don't have any more time to fiddle with it. Video should be uploaded soonish.
The Empire Builder gets the light into the Minnesota Commercial yard and past a stalled UP transfer job on account of a stuck switch.
The Empire Builder pauses for the last in a series of switches needed to be thrown through the Minnesota Commercial yard area. MNNR personnel threw the middle switch shaving off valuable minutes of time spent navigating the yard complex itself. Overall, I give a big thumbs up to the look of the Siemens ALC-42s at night.
G201 KNH was one of several long lived AWD vehicles that survived in the area they were built in for many years. Seen in the colours of Leagrave Builders Ltd on 28th February 2008, this vehicle has now been purchased and restored by Jacksons of Harpenden.
