“A job you have to do, or a job you want to do?” I asked as I approached. “Oh I love it.” Was the answer. This is one of the roughest paths on Cader Idris, mostly used as a descent route. Erosion from footfall and weather has taken its toll. The massive chunks of stone are dropped in by helicopter and then chaps like this slowly manhandle then into place. He’s been at this since September and has another year to go. Funding is an issue, having lost some in European money due to Brexit, so if you’re visiting, use the car park, pay the fee, it all helps these guys continue to improve and maintain the paths too many people take for granted.

Been building this chap lately, first time making a jeep, and I quite like it! Took inspiration from many builders, mainly Carpet Lego.

Black and white filter, because some colours in it just don't look well together xD

Soon, I will modify it into later Willys CJ I think. I also have a pick-up truck built, so stay tuned for next upload sooner than, like 3 months!

Build 1 for my Iron Builder round against Jordan, using the Technic Rotor Blade in Red. Used twice here. The "blades" of the safety scissors are thin strips from metallic sticker sheets.

I photographed the builders and staff for a contracting company here in Ottawa. I think what's different about these is you rarely see the faces of who will actually be working on your home or business. L3 doesn't sub-contract any of it's work, so an in-house team means a bit of stability and I think a more personable approach. We shot these on a job-site so the dirt is real ;)

This is a shot that I did for a builder's portfolio. I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

It's about 10-12 total layers. Sky and grass replacements. Several flash pops STU to bring up the lights a little. I tried to accentuate what was more than just lighting it all up.

While the next round of Iron Builder rages on, I present a trophy to my victorious opponent Andrew, as per the tradition of the Iron Builder competition.

I hope there is space for this Brickarms Bionidoll trophy to stand proud on your shelf of wonders!

Cheers! : D

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. For you, Karf!

Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, UK, August 2019

instagram is full of #mosaicsonmonday, beautiful mathematical, artistic works by lego builders. my latest build contains a mosaic, using a fabric weave technique i designed last november, but never finished. went back to it this year. this weave i used is based on santa's official tartan, created for members of the ‘clan claus society’ (ccs), registered at the scottish register of tartans.

it's not beautiful but it is mathematical and though parts intensive, was fun to recreate then incorporate into the build for #BuildToGive...

Finishing Mining March (in April) with the last MOC!

Eruei created this doll with the idea of building Aigara a new house for each planet she would visit, so she would have a place to sleep in everytime. However, he descarted the concept after realizing how impractical would be that idea: it would require to build a small house in less than a day, consuming a lot of resources around and leaving ultimately a lot of abandoned houses. Not only that, despise the amazing speed of building this doll has, it ended causing a lot of damage in the surroundings, which was quite a problem. But the doll was already built soo...

MV♛ ITALY 2022 - Vortice41

Being builders on the catwalk is not very easy.

While walking around my town and looking at the shop windows I saw a lot of black sports jackets ...

Then in the main square there was a construction site and I looked around.

There were bright orange colors and above all a yellow and black tape that said "Warning Danger" caught my attention. I liked the color combination and decided I would wear those ...

I chose a slightly bold top that leaves the belly bare paired with some open pants that show off the legs.

Why? because I made a comparison: "A sexy and elegant woman is as dangerous as a bulldozer in motion."

This male Great Egret was busy bringing in twigs, which the female was incorporating into her nest. She may have wished he'd chosen something a little smaller. :)

For the Iron Builder Contest - playing catch-up at the moment!

For the record, I'm colour blind, so a sand green squid looks perfectly normal! As for the four tentacles... no comment!

Got the idea at Brickfair NJ from the great ball contraption. This only works half the time but I don't have any more time to fiddle with it. Video should be uploaded soonish.

The Empire Builder pauses for the last in a series of switches needed to be thrown through the Minnesota Commercial yard area. MNNR personnel threw the middle switch shaving off valuable minutes of time spent navigating the yard complex itself. Overall, I give a big thumbs up to the look of the Siemens ALC-42s at night.
