Lecco was home base during my trip to the Monza Formula 1 Grand Prix. About 30 minutes away from the track it was not too far, but gave you a feeling of being on holiday.

A lovely town with the lake and mountains as a backdrop, wonderful town square & great food.

The Lamborghini Museum in Sant'Agata Bolognese is an extension of their factory housing a number of company owned vehicles.

Fierce rivals with Ferrari, Lamborghini have a similarly proud and rich history with many of their designs still head turners today.

Miura in my garage, anytime!

Angel of the North, by Antony Gormley

To the north of us, bolstered by the past (and even) present activities of our government - who claim they will "persuade him" like they've been doing the past few years - sits a genocidal maniac surrounded by chaos and ruin. As the Bish says, he has turned a breadbasket into a basket case.

It is a catastrophe of immense proportions.

Meanwhile..... the situation in Greece looks pretty dire as well. (Yes - did you read the whole screen/image above? That's the point of this shot....)

Nice, Monaco, Menton, Sanremo, Imperia - the road follows the coast from France into Italy. It's one of those drives you ideally do with a few weeks up your sleeve to soak up each town, village and port.

I drove up through the middle of Italy from the coast to eventually arrive at Lake Garda, the largest inland lake in Italy.
