Today is Sunday the last full day of our trip. We decided to rent a car and do our own tour of Moorea. We liked this idea because it gave us the freedom to stop anywhere we wanted to. This cruise ship entered the bay early this morning.

Lecco was home base during my trip to the Monza Formula 1 Grand Prix. About 30 minutes away from the track it was not too far, but gave you a feeling of being on holiday.
A lovely town with the lake and mountains as a backdrop, wonderful town square & great food.

Nice, Monaco, Menton, Sanremo, Imperia - the road follows the coast from France into Italy. It's one of those drives you ideally do with a few weeks up your sleeve to soak up each town, village and port.
I drove up through the middle of Italy from the coast to eventually arrive at Lake Garda, the largest inland lake in Italy.
