oh...shadows! My little girl helped me practice a little today. She wanted to play with the baby doll mostly though. She did finally crawl into this bucket, but catching her still, or even fairly still, is a feat in itself!

This is where I dunk the pots and planters and where i rinse my hands when potting stuff.

It's not truly dirty as I don't consider soil and potting compost to be so, but others might feel differently!

While the water was out this morning, I washed myself with this bucket and a bar of soap. In the background you will notice my filthy bathroom floor; the apartment requires daily cleaning because India is very dusty. And our maid sucks... so my socks take a beating.

Somewhere around 20 years ago, my dad and I were flipping channels and trying to find something entertaining to watch on tv. We flipped past some sporting event and came back to it, because the umpire’s declaration of a goal was quite unordinary. We were soon hooked, trying to figure out the rules of this seemingly hybrid sport that used a dribbling football that is sometimes bumped like a volleyball, played on what looked like a cricket pitch. I picked my favorite team pretty immediately and tried to tune into their games whenever I was able.

Fast forward ten years, and Aussie Rules Football became the only sport Ben and I could really agree upon. We each had our favorite teams, and the day each season that they played each other was always an exciting (and anxious) one in our house!

And now we come to today, a bucket list item finally come true! Our first AFL live game, and it happens to be our favorite teams pitted against each other at the biggest footy venue in Australia. Best day ever!
