Ore buckets were transported from the mines to the mills in Cerro Gordo hanging from tram cables, and this is some of the hardware attached to the buckets.

Somewhere around 20 years ago, my dad and I were flipping channels and trying to find something entertaining to watch on tv. We flipped past some sporting event and came back to it, because the umpire’s declaration of a goal was quite unordinary. We were soon hooked, trying to figure out the rules of this seemingly hybrid sport that used a dribbling football that is sometimes bumped like a volleyball, played on what looked like a cricket pitch. I picked my favorite team pretty immediately and tried to tune into their games whenever I was able.
