Bucket collects sticks, takes them home, starts a fire, and cooks for his family. He only paused on his quest for sticks so Linnéa could take this photo.

This is the Chicknits pattern, made from Cascade. The brim requires doubling up on yarn so I threw in an contrasting color. Also added a flower pin for extra spice.
This is a gift for a friend but I am worried that it might not be her color.

Leather Bucket on HMS Victory. These were used to hold water as fire buckets.
The ship was restored to c 1803 condition. Buckets from the slightly earlier HMS Invincible (sank 1758) were fully sewn.

I forgot about this one in my KFC bucket run. The 137 Avenue KFC still has the original sign and bucket.

This bucket dredge was operated by George Haywood, Eric Baumann and others, for about 30 years until it was abandoned in 1984. It was one of the last dredges operating in Victoria.
It is a relatively small bucket dredge, but is one of the few to have survived more or less intact. The nearby crane (also in this set) cleared trees in the dredge's path.
Since the 1930s electric power had allowed the construction of very large dredge's some employing up to 60 workers.
Dredging for gold dates back to the beginning of the 20th century, but for environmental reason it is no longer practised .
