One thing I love about TLR's is their ability to get low!

A pair of excavator buckets full of water.

seen on first photo of these three buckets.

The Bucket and Spade tree, at Lulworth Cove in Dorset, is adorned with colourful buckets and spades collected from the nearby beach. One of the buckets is a charity collection box.

A bucket hat is a part of Australian summer as fish and chips on the beach, seagulls and thongs. This is my take on the bucket hat.

Not really happy with the way this HDR turned out, might try to mess with it some more. It was very bright that day and photomatix can't figure it out.

My second hat from the same pattern from a Japanese book. Very nice pattern and comes together quite quickly. Love the Japanese matryoshka fabric.

Darci of Stitches & Scissors had a lovely giveaway to celebrate the grand opening of her shop and I was the lucky winner! I was able to choose a selection of fabrics to have something made out of! After trolling my favorites, she made me this beautiful scrap bucket!

Oh how I love containers :)

Thank you again Darci! I love it!

A woman was carrying a bucket full of combs over her head. Only the bucket was captured in this picture.

S&DJR stands for Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway. The sand bucket is self explanatory. The bucket on the left is presumably for those who like to fight fire with fire! Taken at Washford Station, Somerset.

The front of the restaurant is a lot more "presentable", but the clutter in the back is better than many I have seen.

To country kids, bucket has a different meaning to the norm. Out here this is a bucket, and it's every boy's dream to have one of his own ...

OK what's so special in the bucket

Terracotta situla (bucket)

Red-figure; Greek, South Italian, Apulian; Late Classical; ca. 360–340 B.C.

Attributed to the Lycurgus Painter

Dionysos among satyrs and maenads. On the bottom, round face

A situla is a bucket that served to decant wine. The shape is well attested in metal examples and in terracotta counterparts of different types. This piece presents a spirited depiction of the wine-god Dionysos driving his griffin-drawn chariot to a gathering of his followers. Particularly engaging is the old satyr dipping a jug into the decorated calyx-krater, probably to fill the libation bowl in his left hand. On the back, Dionysos is seated between a satyr and a maenad and is surrounded by attributes, including a fawn, a cista (cylindrical box), and wreaths.

I had this bucket of luke-warm dye sitting there, so I dipped the faded old blue jean jacket. I love dye!

This polar bear was really mangling the bucket he was playing with. Very nice to see that animal in action like that.Taken at the Blijdorp Zoo in Rotterdam.

Catching a mid-morning break, La Crosse, Wisconsin.

I've been letting a collection of buckets father water (ice in winter) as a passive water collector to dump on the compost heap or thirsty trees.

With the last rain dump and then freeze, the ice came out in this interesting shape, like a giant beer mug?

Two leather fire buckets, riveted construction, the base uses rivets and roves/washers, the top band is thin metal. Similar buckets are in Cawdor castle.

Leather buckets back to at least the 16th century all seem to be 400mm/16" high and similar diameter.
