Burano, Italy - right next to Venice. It has only canals and no cars like Venice, but it has no palaces. The houses are really this colorful. It is a delightful place where handmade lace is one of their principal exports.
The upper hills in Kamloops deliver a plethora of photographic opportunities. The hills make for an excellent backdrop, while the local brush adds a wonderful and unusual foreground. Although the brush may look sturdy, it is fragile and delicate to the touch. The new growth adds an almost mint color to the ends of the brush and also adds in terms of both color and texture.
This sunset shot came after yesterdays post, and had me once again braving the area, after the running freight train of a cow (steer) departed.
The lively and colorful brush in Fish Creek Park contrasts well with the rather still and solid blues in the sky and the water.

paint brushes get worn down pretty easily - esp cheap ones, but they are still usable.
Smaller of the two wattlebirds found on the S.E. coast of Australia, lacking visible wattles. Habitat is coastal heath and woodland.
For Macro Mondays theme; "Brush".
I think I got my moneys worth out of this very old "Dress Makers Marking Pencil Brush." It is worn down to a nubbin and can't be sharpened any more. It measures exactly one and a half inches in length.
HMM!
Macro Mondays theme: Brush!

Kabuki is for the Classical Japanese Theatre
This is my first shot of drops that I post, I never got it right. The drops would fall off or had no refraction in them. In the background you see pastel crayons.
This is about 1.5 inch wide.
Happy Macro Monday.

Micah went to the Galapagos Islands for study and took some fantastic photos. I used one of his for this, but the photo is not under the painting - just used it as a reference.
Posted to Brushes late because I forgot I used both SKP and Br on this one.
