The Roman Bridge at Penmachno is about a five minute drive from The Fairy Glen. It's a gorgeous little spot on the River Machno and the bridge spans the river just up from the old mill.
This was our second stop and we spent a good hour here getting a few shots, then Kieran accidentally dropped his camera off the bridge. Thankfully it was still working but we decided to make a hasty retreat before anything else happened!
It was fairly difficult to shoot as the sun was right in front of us, but I still came away with a shot I was happy with.
It's a lovely spot and well worth a visit if you're in the area. Beware, it can be a bit muddy walking down to the riverside.
Building Bridges, an installation by Lorenzo Quinn consisting of six pairs of hands arching 50 feet over a waterway at the Arsenale former shipyard in Venice’s eastern Castello District. Made from white resin to mimic the white marble seen around Venice, the hands symbolize the need to build bridges and overcome differences.
Each pair is clasped in a different way to highlight six values, including friendship, hope, love, help, faith, and wisdom.
