the connecting bridge between the two Elbbrücken (Elbbridges) stations. One side the subway, the other the commuter rail.

Let's hope we can all bridge the troubled waters, whatever their causes might be.

* A familiar subject for me, its another image of the Humber Bridge taken from the South Bank of the River. The city of hull is on the North bank and can just be seen on the right of the image

I love to photograph the Humber Bridge which is two miles outside of Hull. Built in 1981 it is an architectural masterpiece With a centre span of 4,626 ft and a total length of 7,283 ft or 1.3 miles the Humber Bridge was the longest single-span suspension bridge in the world for 17 years, until Japan's Akashi Kaikyō Bridge opened on 5 April 1998. Each tower consists of a pair of hollow vertical concrete columns, each 510 ft tall and tapering from20 ft square at the base to 14.8 ft at the top. The bridge is designed to tolerate constant motion and bends more than 10 ft in winds of 80 mph . The towers, although both vertical, are 1.4 inches farther apart at the top than the bottom due to the curvature of the earth.

A little wooden bridge over the West Glen river. I focussed towards the back of this scene to maximise depth of field, I guess this was shot wide-open at f/3.5.

The old bridge to access the port of Fremantle (Queen Victoria Street bridge). This was taken under it looking directly up. Quite disorienting looking up like this but the pattern is so beautiful.

The Claiborne Pell Bridge, commonly known as the Newport Bridge, is a suspension bridge that spans the East Passage of the Narragansett Bay in Rhode Island. The bridge connects the City of Newport on Aquidneck Island and the Town of Jamestown on Conanicut Island, and is named for longtime Rhode Island U.S. senator Claiborne Pell who lived in Newport. The Pell Bridge is in turn connected to the mainland by the Jamestown Verrazzano Bridge.

The main span of the Newport Bridge is 488 meters (1,601 ft), ranking it number 87 among the longest suspension bridges in the world, and making it the longest suspension bridge in New England. The overall length of the bridge is 3,428 meters (11,247 ft). Its main towers reach 122 meters (400 ft) above the water surface, and the roadway height reaches as high as 66 meters (215 ft).[2] On a clear day, the bridge's towers are visible from the observation plaza at the Gay Head Light in Aquinnah on the Massachusetts island of Martha's Vineyard, from the upper floors of skyscrapers in Providence (approximately 22 miles).

Love the mix of moonlight and night sky there at the amazing Owachomo Bridge in Utah.

The bridge is often referred to as the Bridge of Sighs because of its supposed similarity to the Bridge of Sighs in Venice. However, Hertford Bridge was never intended to be a replica of the Venetian bridge, and instead it bears a closer resemblance to the Rialto Bridge in the same city.

The skyway links the Old and New Quadrangles of Hertford College (to the south and the north respectively), and much of its current architecture was designed by Sir Thomas Jackson. Surprisingly it is a relatively recent construction, completed in 1914.

Nikko’s Shinkyo Bridge is a river crossing that officially belongs to the nearby Futarasan Jinja Shrine. The elegant arc of this bridge crosses the Daiya-gawa River and contrasts beautifully with the natural scenery around it.

The name “Shinkyo” means “sacred bridge” and the bridge is considered to be one of Japan’s most beautiful bridges.

Egton Bridge is a village in the Scarborough district of North Yorkshire, England. It lies within the North York Moors National Park, on the River Esk, between the villages of Glaisdale and Grosmont, about six miles south-west of Whitby, and on the route of the Esk Valley Walk which passes this house.

The village is served by Egton railway station, on the Esk Valley Line, which also serves the nearby village of Egton.

A result of the replacement of the first of three spans on the Merchant's Bridge, Terminal's Bremen Job, symboled T302, returns back to Madison via the MacArthur Bridge early on a Tuesday morning. After shoving down the High Line and past Gratiot, just across the river in Missouri, the crew now descends the North Approach of the bridge after climbing up directly following the West Belt Job with a relief T301 crew onboard. The Bremen Job switches a variety of industries near Bremen Avenue, just North of the city and South of the Merchants Bridge. This detour around the city just about quadruples their travel from Madison to the Bremen Ave. area and back.
