This is the beautiful Bridal Veil Falls in Provo canyon Utah.
As I was setting up my tripod to create this image, I spotted a young couple sitting at the base of this falls. I approached them and asked if they minded staying put for a few minutes so I could include them in the image. They were thrilled to do so especially after I told them I was going to send them an image of it for obliging me. :-)
I like incorporating a human element in my images when I can to give scale and more interest to the photograph.
Please enjoy the view. :-)

A bridal lace applique cake for the lovely Tiffany from Grant Riley weddings. It will showcase on her stand at A Most Curious Wedding Fair this weekend.
I think this is actually known as the American Falls, the Bridal Veil Falls being the smaller fall adjacent, but I think it made for a nicer title for the photo!

This is one of many images from a bridal session I done with the Aleisha Brookesmith. I wasn't too happy at the start of my shoot, as the lighting was giving me a little grief (+ still putting my new Canon 5D MKII through its paces) but not long after we started getting some amazing images. The best part too is we found some amazing locations and the weather was on my side... well for one day atleast. The only other down side is my 24-70mm f2.8 lens seems to be having focusing issues, but hey a little manual focus can cure that.
Speedlight 580exii hand held slightly to left of camera about head height.
Photo edited in Lightroom & Photoshop CS4. This seems to be my stand way of editing at the moment. Plenty more to come in the next few days :D

Yosemite National Park's Bridal Veil Creek at dawn. Water rushes through the rocky and forested creek just below the falls.
Just finished these for a bridal shower this afternoon. The brides colors were pink and white and gold - decided it needed a touch of green to make it more interesting and there was green in the floral napkin they gave me. She originally wanted all monogram cookies to go with the monogram petit fours and I thought that would be too many H's on the table, so I went with the floral napkins and tried working in the bride and grooms full name - I'm still worried there is too much many letters on the tray.......hopefully it will meet their approval!

Bridal Veil Falls is a 45 foot fall (as per Wikipedia) near Highlands, NC. Also, according to Wikipedia, this is the only falls in NC that you can drive a car behind. My family and I just got back from a week in God's country, in that beautiful, mountainous area of North Carolina!
In my most humble opinion, Bridal Veil can be somewhat challenging to photograph. In all of the years of photographing this fall, this is probably the best I have been able to come away with.

:-) I went for a friend's wedding yesterday, it was lovely and lots of fun...but let me give you an advice, dont wear heels if you have to stand/run around/dance all night :-D I still dont ve okay from the bride to post the wedding pictures, so ll ve to wait for it....In the meanwhile I am posting this one cause its just bokeh but you can still see her shimmering bridal lehenga :D (Sneaky I am, but couldnt resist it!)
Studio bridal with Brooke was a blast! She's so gorgeous, it's hard to stop shooting. I kept reminding myself not to get carried away. Brooke is a former Miss North Carolina.

This Helianthemum Bridal Shower is so lovely! I enjoy all details in the wonderful flower. Our garden is less than a year old and she is starting to bloom like crazy! I like the way the stem is 'hanging' beside the stamens.

Bridal Veil Falls Provincial Park is located at the site of the ancient village of Popkum which has settlement records dating back to the 1700s. Popkum is a First Nations word meaning “puff ball”, a plant which grows in the area in abundance.

The weather was gorgeous today, so I drove out to Bridal Veil Falls, I brought the "crystal ball" along with a very different shot in mind. But that one didn't turn out so well, so i had to settle for this one.

I took this back around the year 2000, and I realized that I could do a better job on it than I did when I first posted it in 2017. I did a little Photoshop trickery with it, which I do now and again. I wanted to bring out the light of summer, which is importnt on a winter day.
