After I came home from the hospital I kept singing "Who's wine, what wine, where the hell did I dine?" ~ a Peter Frampton tune.
(I've lost almost 100 pounds since March 2007 so no judgement please!)
At 14 months old-Luccio had a VP Shunt put in. The same week he got glasses to correct astigmatism. We think his glasses make him look even more gorgeous than ever!!
This was the first Hydrocephalus walk in St. Louis. We all wore blue (her favorite color) and hats that said TEAM SOPHIA to support her.
It's a miracle in itself that my Pawpaw was able to come down this Christmas and walk around... talk... and eat dinner. He was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease, and not long ago was bedridden, unable to talk, eat or go to the restroom himself. He had brain surgery, which caused internal brain swelling and bleeding. He had hallucinations, tremors, fatigue, weakness... argh... it was really bad. The Lord heard us and answered our prayers. I knew his time on earth was not through yet :op
This is a device for doing brain surgery on rats. If you think girls swoon and immediately fall into my arms when I show them this, and explain my skill with it, you are dead wrong, surprisingly.
These are photos of the Heathers Hope Fundraiser event at Elkin Park on Saturday 20, 2014. We are praying for you Heather.

Taken 1 day before brain surgery (March 2007) for an aneurysm found attached to the optical nerve on my right eye.
I reserved a room at a "hospice" near the hospital. The hospice was located on a corner uphill from the park. If I looked down the hill, I could see the Golden Gate Bridge and the tops of the trees in this park while standing on the corner.
This was a good place for me to visit and try to "zen"-out before my brain surgery.

This was taken within an hour of surgery. I was told that the surgery was about 8 hours.

I know and feel nothing .. well, pain ~ YES!
I shaved my head in anticipation of my brain surgery.
Here I am doing a little light brain surgery. This prop brain gets quite a bit of abuse during one scene, so I got to epoxy the cracked edges back together. I really think my job is cool when I get to do weird stuff like this.
(This week my photos are uploading late because I've been working truly obscene long hours on the new musical Young Frankenstein. Most of these shots are understandably show related.)
Luccio had a VP Shunt put in on OCtober 25th. That same week he got glasses to help correct astigmatism. We think the glasses make him even more adorable!

The stapled scar. Yes ... the pain was very intense. I knew nothing here!
As Dr. McCoy in Star Trek would say, "How Barbaric !" (Where are you now, Bones??!!!)

For some reason I kept singing a Peter Frampton song: "Do you you, feel like I do?" I did that for a couple months driving my friends crazy!!
