C'est l'heure de nourrir les oursons d'eau ! On nourrit nos tardigrades chacun notre tour. Ils ont un cycle de reproduction très rapide (à peine 2 semaines !) donc on en héberge déjà plusieurs générations. Un arbre généalogique entier de tardigrades de l'espace !
It’s time for lunch, water bears! I took my turn feeding the tardigrades. Fun fact: they have a two-week reproduction cycle, so we are now hosting three generations of them! A whole family tree of space-borne tardigrades!

Southern Class 377/1 "Electrostar" unit 377118, passes the magnificent Grade II-listed signal box at the platform end at Eastbourne during the early evening of 5th September 2019, forming an empty stock working. The signal box was constructed in 1882 for the London, Brighton & South Coast Railway on the Hailsham and Eastbourne branch line. Along with Chichester, it is one of the two largest Saxby and Farmer Type 5 signal boxes in the country and is the best preserved. It retains most of its original windows, but its original 108 lever frame was reduced in size to 72 levers when the route was electrified in 1935.

...Brey’s “boxes” are only boxes in a single sense. They appear ordinary and familiar from the outside, but at the point of contact, interaction or performance they begin to unfold. The material and situational complexity of works like Sutra, 2010, The Black Cube, 2012, Water 2013, The Uncanny, 2015 and others, reveal themselves to be constellations within a Caribbean universe. Through them, Brey speaks to the infinity of the natural world, the sublime possibilities of one’s dreams and imagination. In part, thee works also act as psychological container of fractured history, blurred and concise memories and through material, form and experience, enter the fifth dimension. ( Fragment from “Adrift”, 2019 )
The signal box at Welshpool - from the train, 30/6/83. The netting and posts are possibly ex- tablet catchers?
- www.kevin-palmer.com - I've always wanted to see what Box Canyon looks like from this overlook. It was very scenic after the snow the evening before.
