On November 22, 2008 Wabash Valley Audubon Society members placed this Kestrel Box on Clay County Road 650 W in Chinook Mine. Left to right: Donna G, Denise P, Marty J, Phil C, Henry T. Also, a Norther Flicker box was placed on 750 W and a Bluebird Box at Tabertown and Swalls Road. If we look a little cold it's because it was only 15 degrees. Photographed by Stephanie T.

Personal study for my concept class. How can i make an object interesting by creating an inspiring environment. What's in the box? What is these people's connection to the box? What's the band between these people. Use your imagination and let your feelings create your own proper story...

Yesterdays theme was Box. I missed yesterday so I did two today. The box on it's own was rather dull and with lack of clocks, and two late to catch a fox, I added socks. Enough now Too much Like Dr Suess!

Each year, Gallery Route One in Point Reyes invites over a hundred artists to create unique works of art using a wooden box.
Here are the inspiring artworks they created this year: they range in style from whimsical to poignant and thought-provoking. These photos were taken on closing day, when the gallery organized a live auction for each of this year’s 150 boxes. The proceeds support the gallery’s exhibits and community programs.
Two of the boxes were created by members of our art community: Howard Rheingold (a.k.a. Dr. Rindbrain) contributed an illuminated box called ‘Magical’, while Geo Monley and Meryl Rubenstein made ‘Les Puzzles.’
Members of ‘Pataphysical Studios came to cheer for their peers -- Dr. Really was the highest bidder for Dr. Rindbrain’s piece, which was thus kept in the family. After the show, we all went to Stellina to celebrate over a nice dinner.

Somewhat of a rare box type, and this box is also rare. Letters are going to be the only thing that fit inside here; though some small padded envelopes would probably fit as well.
I covered this box using pages from a very old childrems book that I found at a boot sale. I then added a vintage sewing pattern, some old used and pretty stamps, an image from a tarot card, a few vintage buttons, a cameo, some stickers, scrapbooking paper and ribbon.I then covered the whole thing with clear varnish.
