After a pretty good session along the sand and mud, this guy seemed to take a bow. I guess he thought it was a good show, I would the lighting guy to turn up the sun a little for the next performance.

A view of the Bow Valley Parkway in autumn with one of the billion beautiful peaks near Banff (OK I exaggerate: a million peaks). This old highway runs between Banff and the Lake Louise junction, paralleling the Trans Canada highway. It provides better opportunities for seeing wildlife and mountain vistas than following the busy freeway.
I'm not ready to say goodbye to the grandeur of Autumn yet. Autumn may be gone out my window but isn't in my images or fond memories. Fall just doesn't last long enough.
Had a mac attack yesterday. Thought I'd lost everything but was able to recover. Went thru all my sailor words multiple times, but didn't seem to help much. Such a distressful feeling. Glad my blood pressure is somewhat back to normal now and all systems are go.

On a recent trip to the Canadian Rockies hiked along Bow Lake with incredible reflections and outstanding mountain vistas.
Built in 1864, the Bow Creek Lighthouse is situated at the Trinity Buoy Wharf, London. Known as an experimental lighthouse, it was used to test lighting systems and train prospective lighthouse keepers. Michael Faraday also carried out experiments here. The building adjoining the lighthouse is the former Chain and Buoy Store. 2021.

I popped to Chinkwell Tor to try and find a few new compositions the other morning and to my delight rainbow after rainbow formed. The light was lovely as it broke the horizon. I can't help capturing these lately! shared with pixbuf.com
Plenty of boats for hire and Windermere lake cruises are available from Bowness.

You will find marvelous views along the Trans-Canadian Highway that runs through Banff National Park and Yoho National Park. Bow River runs through the town of Banff, AB.

Clare House is a 22-storey tower block in Bow, Tower Hamlets.
It was completed in 1968 but which now stands empty after its residents were evacuated in 2021 following fire safety fears in the wake of the Grenfell Tower tragedy.

Having spent an hour in a poppy field taking close-us of flowers earlier in the day I decided I had better get a grip on myself!! :). Iain had suggested we try a sunset at Bow Fiddle this weekend past as 'compensation' for another failed attempt (due to weather) to head north but again the forecast failed to inspire us. It was a last minute decision then yesterday, with some clearer skies and a need to get back to some landscape photography, to give it a go. With the rock's best aspect looking towards the east I was pleased to find at least a trace of post-sunset colours in the sky and chose a 50 second exposure to add some movement to the otherwise moody clouds.
At night by the Peal River in Guangzhou China, the illuminated Liede Bridge and Canton Tower accompanied each other.

Bamford edge this morning after a colourful show before sunrise. A snow shower produced a Snow-bow?!
A serene sunset red bow emerges out of a rapidly intensifying storm (see some of the lightning it produced in the first comment below).
Red Bows (sunset and sunrise rainbows) are a result of the sunset sun rays (or sunrise) traveling long paths through the lower atmosphere where they are scattered by air molecules and dust. Short wavelength blues and greens are scattered most strongly leaving the remaining transmitted light proportionately richer in reds and yellows (source).
